Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is an atmosphere-first adventure. You wander a foggy, abandoned town tapping to explore, picking up objects and slowly piecing together what happened to the people who lived there. It's unhurried and a little eerie in the best way.

Puzzles are woven into the environment rather than dropped in as isolated brain-teasers, so solving one usually reveals a bit more of the story. The hand-drawn art and muffled sound design do most of the heavy lifting, and they lift it beautifully.

Some puzzles lean on pixel-hunting, which got mildly frustrating twice. But the mood carries everything, and I finished it in two long, cozy sittings.
