Frontier Tides

Frontier Tides is a strategy game with patience built into its bones. You run a small shipping empire, plotting routes around storms and bandits while rival captains try to beat you to the best ports. It's the kind of game that looks calm and hides real depth.

The map is readable, which matters a lot on a phone. You can zoom, queue orders, and let time run while you check messages — then jump back in when the weather turns. I lost a whole weekend to a single long campaign.

The learning curve is steep in the first hour, and the tutorial could explain the market system better. Push past that, though, and it becomes one of the most satisfying mobile strategy games I've played in a while.
